The project

It started out by building a blog, followed by a private asset management tool and eventually also recreating the corporate website for Degroof Petercam. This project marked a significant milestone in my career as it was my first major professional endeavor.

Over the course of a year and a half, I worked diligently to develop these essential components for Degroof Petercam. The blog provided a platform for thought leadership and industry insights, while the private asset management tool facilitated efficient management of client portfolios. Additionally, the corporate website showcased the firm's expertise, services, and values. It was an enriching experience that allowed me to sharpen my technical skills, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the growth of a prestigious financial institution.

Reflection

I learned a lot during this project. Not only because this was my first long term professional project, but also because I was surrounded by a great team which helped me where needed and guided me along the way. During this period, I went from a beginner to an experienced Gatsby developer who was eventually able to take more of a leading role due to the experience and knowledge I had gained.
